1st Grade - Mrs. Markstrom

Mrs. Martina Markstrom

My name is Mrs. Markstrom and I am so excited to be your first grade teacher! This is my 6th year of teaching. I have taught three years of special education at Sault Area High School, 1 year of 5th grade reading at writing at Sault Area Middle School, and this is my second year teaching first grade at Washington Elementary. My husband and I both grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault Area High School in 2015. I then went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University in 2019 for Elementary Education and Special Education: Cognitive Impairments. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband, our friends, our families, and our 4 pets!
